About:Shanghai Taxi

can 1 taxi from Shanghai Pudong Airport, accommodate 5 pieces of checked luggage & 2 adults

or do we need 2 taxis?

I'm not clear about your luggage size. Maybe one taxi can fit them if you put one or two luggage on the back seat.

thank you for you assistance. I am assuming based on your statements that their is no difference in auto structure from the taxi's in Beijing & Shanghai ( all made in China) which are smaller cars than those made in the US for taxi's. Also, are their company's that have "mini vans for transportation between PVG & the Bund? I saw an ad about 2 months ago & I forgot to bookmark the page & now I can't find their web site. Thank You for your assistance

Well, mini vans is rarely seen unless you book it in advance. And the fare is expensive. Maybe you need to take two taxis.
