This is not a problem. In the terminology that is adopted by Chinese rule for visa free transit, a confirmed seat or seat number means just that you have to travel on a confirmed and not on a standby ticket. So, having a tickets for eligible itinerary like yours: X country - Beijing - Seoul, makes you eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing. Of course, this means that you are not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China.
