Go to the Philippines from USA my flight has a layover at Beijing.

Hello this is my first time going back to the Philippines from USA my flight has a layover at Beijing. Do I need to have visa?

Well, it depends on your itinerary and your citizenship.

If you are a US citizen, you can travel on the route US - Beijing - Philippines with a layover as long as 144 hours, of course if Beijing is your only stop within mainland China. In case that you have more than 1 stop within mainland China, you are limited to 24 hours. So, depending on the type of your itinerary, you can enjoy 144 or 24 hour visa free transit.

If you are a Philippine citizens, you can enjoy only 24 hour visa free transit regardless of number of stops within the mainland China.
