About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK to Beijing to Japan

Can I get a 144 visa if I go from the UK to Beijing (staying for 4 days) then to Tokyo for 2 days and another Japanese city for 2 days

You don't need a visa. You will qualify for 144 hours transit without visa (not a visa) if your flights are non-stop and your passport is from one of the 53 listed countries.
