About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

144 visa free transit, possible multiple times?

Hi,

We will be traveling from London - Beijing (staying for 3 days) and then flying from Beijing - Tokyo (2 weeks) and then from Osaka - Beijing (staying 2 nights) and then flying back Beijing - London.

Can you confirm that we will be able to get multiple 144 hour visa free transits? Also, does it matter that the flights to and from Japan are shown on the same document?

Thanks :-)

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing twice. As far as your ticket is concerned, you are fine with that kind of ticket. In reality, Chinese immigration don't care about the type of tickets because they are focused on itinerary and citizenship, of course.
