About:China Visa Application in UK

We are cruising Asia travelling from Singapore to Shanghi with an overnight stop in Hong Kong.

When we disembark in Shanghi we will travel to Xian for a day then on to Beijing and fly back to U.K. 3 days later. Do we need a single entry visa or 144 hour visa exemption?

Dawn, your itinrary is a visit not a transit, so single-entry type is needed.
