About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If I want to travel from JFK-CAN-ICN-JFK

I heard 144 visa free for Guangzhou but my flight is Asiana airline lay over in Korea for 4hours(not leaving the airport, staying inside the airport)and going to CAN and stay 4days(total staying is 35hours) and leaving to Korea and staying for 2 weeks and final destination is back home JFK. Do I still need VISA? Please let me know. Thanks!!

Yes, you need a visa obtained in advance. As you can see, according to the rules, your itinerary is Korea - CAN - Korea and that means a visit to China. This part of your itinerary is the essential one. The rule is that only the immediate points before and after your Chinese destination matter.
