Yes, you are eligible for 144 and 24 hours visa free transit, but you have to look at bellow requirements to confirm that:

- Your flight from Australia to Shanghai should not have any additional landing in mainland China and in the country that will be your first arrival point, immediately after you leave Shanghai.
- Your flight from Shanghai to Australia should not have any additional landing in mainland China and in the country that will be your last departure point, immediately before your arrival in Shanghai.
- Your cruise should not have as the first port call, immediately after your departure from Shanghai, in mainland China.
- Your cruise should not have as the last port call, immediately before your arrival in Shanghai, in mainland China.

I'm more than certain that your itinerary has met all the above mentioned requirements, but I just encourage you to check your itineraries once again. In case that the itinerary is in compliance with the above mentioned, you are fine for 144 and 24 hours visa free transit.
