Do I qualify for 144 hours visa free transitI'm flying from the USA to Tokyo for a Japan-Korea-China cruise. During the cruise, we do not visit any Chinese cities other than Shanghai. At the end of the cruise, we arrive in Shanghai port at 6 am and on the same day I fly to Beijing for 3 nights in the evening, after which I have by direct flight to the USA.Do I qualify for 144 hours visa free transit?Thanks in advanceMarina

Unfortunately not because after your arrival in Shanghai, you will proceed to Beijing. It is not allowed to make a stop in more than one transit zone consecutively and remain eligible for 144 hours visa free transit. To conclude, you will have to obtain a Chinese visa in advance for your travel itinerary.
