About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Could ‘visa free 48hours visit’ allowed more than once?

I am a british passport holder
My itinerary is
Hong Kong > XiaMen (stop for 2 days)> Thailand
And Thailand>Shanghai (stop for 2days)>Hongkong
So in this case does that mean when I arrive at Shanghai I get another 48hours visa free visit, or do I only get one chance of the ‘free visit’

You can do multiple times in the same week as long as each transit qualifies. You can stay up to 144 hours on each of those transits. Both regions switched from 72 to 144 hours.
