About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting other cities

Hello,
If I apply for a 144 hour visa in Shanghai can I make a day trip to Hefei City in Anhui Province (within those 144 hours of course)?

You are limited to Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces. China may or may not find out that you broke the law and traveled outside that area on a day trip.
