About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

My trip is Germany – Shenzhen – Hong Kong with two days stay in Shenzhen.

So I would like to use the 144h visa free entry.

As described here below, I already purchased and paid a ferry ticket from Shenzhen Shekou port to Hong Kong–Macau Ferry Terminal via Chu Kong Passenger Transport Company website.
I received an e-voucher confirmation via mail with my Name, Departure Date&Time, TicketNo., SeatNo., TransactionNo., VerificationNo.
Plus info that transaction was successful.

Question: Is this e-voucher, which I print out, enough to show at Shenzhen airport?
In the mail is also written that I get a ticket at Shenzhen Shekou port ticketing office before entering the ferry.

Many thanks in advance!

Thank you very much! Another short question: What if my schedule changes, am I allowed to book now, and that is before the trip and flight, another ticket for one day later and use this? So take not the old e-voucher but the new one?

Niklas, this e-voucher is exactly what you need for 144 hours visa free transit purposes. This is definitely enough because this is a document that guarantees that when you exchange your e-voucher for a real ticket at Shekou port, all the details mentioned on e-voucher will be matched on the real ticket. Now, you are really ready for your travel, but keep in mind that you have to print out the mentioned e-voucher and have it in your hands in hard copy at check-in in Germany! Without it, you wouldn't be allowed to board the plane bound for Shenzhen. Also, you will present this document upon arrival in Shenzhen and you will be allowed to leave the airport and proceed where you have planned to. Please, have in mind that you really have to take that ferry that you have bought the ticket for!

You can postpone your decision on exact ferry that you will use from Shenzhen to Hong Kong until the very moment of your landing in Shenzhen. There, at the relevant form, you will write down your way of exit from mainland China and there you will also have to present a ticket (e-voucher) that you will use for that purpose. From that moment on, you are not allowed to change anything, literally. Of course, you will have to present your ferry ticket (e-voucher) in Germany, but they will just satisfy themselves to acknowledge that you are in possession of valid ticket that makes you eligible for 144 hours visa free transit, but they will not make any input into the system, so they will allow you some more time to think what ticket you will use until the mentioned landing. In short, the answer to your question is - yes, you are allowed to do that.
