Yes in principle, but your itinerary has to fulfill several other conditions:
- Your flight to Shanghai should not have any additional landing within mianland China
- Your first port call immediately after Shanghai should not be in mainland China
Please note that your first port call after your cruise departure from Shanghai should not be used as a layover for your flight to Shanghai. For example, if your first port call after Shanghai is Hong Kong, you should not use it as layover for your arrival flight to Shanghai because it would be an itinerary Hong Kong - Shanghai - Hong Kong and this is not a transit.
To conclude, 144 hours visa free transit allows you to stay visa free for 6 days. So, you 4 days are just fine.
