Can I apply for a 72h visa entering in PVG, the day after fly to TAO and leave from TAO to BKK?

I’m Italian, I will fly from Milan to Pvg stay 1 day and leave China from Quindao the day after.
Thank you

No, you are limited to 24 hours total in China when you travel through more than one transit zone. Visa will be necessary or non stop flight to the third country from Shanghai.

Hi Paul, thanks a lot for your reply. But, in case I land in PVG, the day after I fly to TAO and return to PVG to fly out to a third country, it should work. Correct?

This is possible, but you will have to tune your itinerary in very hectic way, i.e. between your scheduled arrival in Shanghai when coming from abroad and your final scheduled departure from Shanghai to abroad, there should be no more than 24 hours. Please, you should keep in mind that you cannot depart from Shanghai to the same country that you have come from!
