About:China Travel Service

im holding a philippine passport and currently working in singapore

im travelling to new york and with stopover to beijing for 9 hours do i need to get a transit visa?

No, you don't need to apply for the visa because you can enjoy the 24 hours visa free policy. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for the Stay Permit wen you landing at the airport.
