Then I need to go to Kunming... how long on average would it take to go through the quarantine/checks. Is there forms I need to fill out before hand (if so where do I get that from)? Also, where do I go after I get off the plane?

Generally speaking, the transit time needs at least 2.5 hours. Thus I am afraid that your time is not enough. There is no forms to fill in advance and you need to go to in the International Arrival Hall.
