About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

Verifying the stay length being calculated from the next day..

I arrived in China on May 6th on a tourist visa with a duration of stay up to 60 days and have already booked a ticket to depart on July 5th. It seems this will be OK, yet I would really appreciate getting a better idea. Does anybody have any experience that the stay length is calculated from the next day after of arrival? Thank you for all the help. - Nick

Hi, the duration of stay counts from the stay upon arrival.

Thank you for your reply. I decided to air on the side of caution and changed the ticket, exiting on July 3rd. Hopefully this helps other travelers. All the best.
