About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing to japan

Hi we are travelling from singapore to beijing and departing 3 days later to either japan or vietnam. we are australian's so i figure we qualify for the 144 day visa yes?

Yes, you definitely qualify for 144 hours visa free transit in Beijing. You should just take care that your flight from Singapore to Beijing does not have any additional landing in mainland China and also in the country where you plan to return to after your visit to Beijing. You will need to decide what country you will travel to before your departure from Singapore to Beijing because you will be asked to show your tickets at the check-in in Singapore. Also, please, just use correct terminology because you will not apply for 144 day visa, but for 144 hours visa free transit to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
