About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

How do you count the 24 hours?

Hello, I am flying from Amsterdam-Beijing-Hong Kong and same for my way back. However on the way back I would like to have a longer stay so I could visit Beijing for the day. The stay in Beijing on my way back will be less than 24h but close to it. Given that on my way there I will also have a layover of 6h do this hours add to each other or they are counted separately? I would like to apply for the 24h visa. Thank you!

Do you have another stop in China of 6 hours beside the stop in Beijing?

btw. it's not a 24h visa so you can't apply for it.
It's a visa free transit.

The time counts from your scheduled arriving time in China till your scheduled departure time out of China.

So there will be 6h in the beginning of the week while waiting on my flight to HK, and 23h at the end of the week before I go back to Amsterdam. Do I qualify for the 24h visa free entry?
Thank you!

Of course you do. The clock resets every time you enter China.
