Tourist visa to China while traveling in USA or Asia

Hello.
How would an Icelandic family go on about applying for a tourist visa to China while travelling?
We start our world tour in june but would most likely enter China in July from Japan or South Korea and probably applying from there.
Is it possible to get a longer Tourist visa than 30 days?
Thank you.

You can prepare your passports, application form and photos, Japan or Korea visa, round-trip airline tickets and hotel reservation to apply at CVASC in Japan or Korea.
Tourist visas are generally 30 days. If you offer more than 30 days of travel itinerary, the officer may give you more time. You can have a try.
