144 h free visa

Malaysia to Shenzhen, stay 4 days then to Hong Kong by train, I know an Australian passport holder can enjoy the 144 hours free visa facility, I would like to know whether I should have a Shenzhen to Hong Kong train ticket before hand? If yes, where to get the ticket when I am in Malaysia?

Yes, you should have Shenzhen to HK train ticket beforehand. You can book one from this website. :)
