About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Australia to Shanghai, cruise to Japan, return to the city, then cruise to Australia

I am flying from Australia to SH and spending 2 nights in SH. Then leaving by cruise ship to Japan. After 8 nights cruising around Japan I will be returning to SH Port for 8 hours then boarding a cruise ship to Australia.
Do I need a visa or will the 144 hour visa exemption cover this trip?

It will depend where the next port is on the cruise to Australia. If the next port is in China or is the same port as the one you entered China from then a visa is required

Next port is South Korea (Busan) so all looks good
