About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vancover to Shanghai to India

Hi, I am an Indian passport holder and i travel from Canada to India through Shanghai. Can i travel with this itinerary without a transit visa? I have seen few answers given to similar questions but just wanted to clarify myself.

Yes, you can travel the mentioned itinerary, but you should just keep in mind that between your scheduled arrival in China and your scheduled departure from China cannot be more than 24 hours. In case that you will be in Shanghai for less than 24 hours, you can enjoy 24 hours visa free transit.
