About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Macau to Beijing to HK

Would this journey be eligible for a 72 hour visa-free transit? I have a UK passport, but am currently working in Macau. I was hoping to visit Beijing for a couple of days, without having to apply for a full visa.
