About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London -Hong Kong(3 days) -Manila(3 days)- Beijing (2 days)-Hong Kong(in transit 1hr5min)-London

As a British passport holder does the above itinerary require a China visa for Beijing or will the 72 hour transit visa exemption at Beijing Capital airport be allowed?

You are perfectly eligible for 144 hours visa free travel in Beijing and you really don't have to bother with any visa formalities. You will just apply for your 144 visa free transit upon arrival in Beijing and just keep in mind to have your flight ticket and your accommodation booking in printed form, ready to be shown to immigration authorities. Please, just don't us the phrase "transit visa" because you will travel visa free!
