Transit visa for 2 layovers in China

Hello,
I need an information about traveling for Slovene residents through 2 Chinese airports to Langkawi, Malaysia.
The travel plan is Vienna (🇪🇺 ) - Urumqi Diwopu (🇨🇳 6h layover) - Guangzhou Baiyun (🇨🇳 5h layover) - Langkawi International (🇲🇾 final destination).
And Vice Versa travel plan for going back home.

As Slovene resident I don't need visa for visiting Malaysia for 14 days.
But Do I need CHINESE TRANSIT VISA a or some PERMIT, because I need to chage planes on 2 different Chinese airports? Both layovers together are less than 24h.

Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Rebecca

Here we have a problem because the allowed time for a layover in Urumqi Diwopu airport is just 2 hours if you plan to travel visa free. This airport is specific in this regard and to travel on the mentioned route, you will have to obtain a Chinese visa. The same thing is valid for your travel back home. I would strongly suggest you against your travel plan in favor of some other option. In case that you have already bought your tickets, you should apply for Chinese visa and you will have to ask for a visa with 2 entries. The price for such visa should be 60 EUR, if issued in Ljubljana.
