Do I need a transit visa for the two layovers?

Good day

I am flying to China on 2 August with Air China from O R Tambo International (South Africa) and my connection flight is a 3 hour layover in Shenzhen and from there to Shenyang. My return flight is a 2 hour layover in Beijing from Shenyang and from there to O R Tambo in Johannesburg. Do I need a transit visa for the two layovers? I will not be leaving the airport during that time and just want to double check when I apply for my visa that I do not need a transit visa.

Also, on which website can I do the online booking for my visa and apply for the vsa. I assume it will be a tourist type? Can you give me the link to apply for the visa. Can I submit it with the Embassy in Pretoria, Arcaia?

I appreciate your assistance.

If your total layover in China does not exceed 24 hours for each trip, it's possible to use the 24TWOV so that you don't need to apply for a transit visa.

You need a tourist (L) visa. You're not in transit to a third country, so transit visas or TWOV are not relevant.
