144-hour free travel

We are US citizens. The cruise on the Westerdam starts in Canada, first goes to stops in Japan and then to ports in China, including Dalian 10/20, an overnight in a Beijing hotel 10/21-10/22, Qingdao 10/24 and ends in Shanghai 10/26. We are extending our trip to spend 5 days in Shanghai at a hotel and then fly back to the US. Does this qualify for the 144 hour visa free travel?
