About:China Consulate in Houston

Family (2 adopted daughters from China) traveling to China with Tour Group in June

Daughters are 18 and 20 yrs of age, citizens of USA, and legal name changes.
- Do we need to submit the girl's China Passport issued when they were babies with the Visa application?
- Do we have to write their Chinese names with Chinese calligraphy on the Visa application? If so, how can we do that since we do not write in the language?
- Does the Houston Consulate Office accept 'walk-ins' or is an appointment required or beneficial?

Johnson, if this is the first time that the two girls apply for a China visa, the original and photocopy of their Chinese passports need to be submitted. If your daughters' US passports have an English name, just fill in the English name. However, you need to provide a certificate for name change issued by relevant authorities. You can direcly walk into the consulate without an appointment during its working hours.
