Q2 Family Reunion Visa

Am I allowed to do visa runs with a Q2 visa that is valid for 10 years? Is there a limit to the total cumulative duration of stay under this visa?

Where are you from? Currently, the multiple entry Chinese visa for 10 years applies to citizens from US, Canada, UK, Argentina, Israel and Brazil. To see if you are eligible: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/10-years.htm.

There is no limit to the total cumulative duration with this visa valid for 10 years; only a maximum stay length for each entry exists for different countries: 180 days for USA, Canada, and UK, 90 days for Brazil, but no limitation for Argentina and Israel.
