hi, we are traveling to ottawa (canada) and we have a stopover in shanghai for 20 hrs,

Do we need a transit visa in shanghai

So you are travelling from India to Ottawa with a stopover in Shanghai for 20 hrs? If this is the case, you don't need a transit visa for you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit.
