About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24h direct Transit

Hi,

I am a citizen of tajikistan and I have a flight from Paris to Shanghai (Air China) and in 10 hours same day I have a flight from Shanghai to Cebu. Might concern is that the airlines are not the same and I might have to collect luggage and recheck-in. Will it require a visa for me?

You are eligible to use different airlines and separate tickets. As long as your stay within China is less than 24 hours, you are covered by 24 hours visa free transit. By the way, yes, you will be allowed to change a terminal if necessary and to perform recheck-in. Keep in mind to have your onward flight ticket in printed form, ready to be shown to the authorities.
