About:Tianjin Bus & Metro Search Tool

HKG to Beijing then to SYD with 3hr layover HKG

Hello -
We have Australian passports and will travel HKG to Beijing for 3 days and then to SYD with 3hr layover in HKG airport. Noting that we have seperate bookings Cathay & Qantas from Beijing to SYD. Do we need a visa for Beijing / China? Many thanks.

Yes, you need a visa (or different flights) because you’re not in transit at Beijing.
