About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

travelling with my children with a stopover of 15 hours in Beijing - Pakistan Passport

Hi, I have a Pakistan Passport and my kids are Australian Passport holders, we are flying from Islamabad (Pakistan) to Sydney via Beijing, layover time is over 15 hours, I know Australian citizens don't require transit visa, I just want to be clear about my passport, can I get TWOV on arrival or do i need to apply before traveling, all I need is a 24 hour transit visa, we have confirm flight to Sydney and I'm Australian Permanent Resident. Please reply.

Yes, you are eligible for 24 hours TWOV in the same way as your children are. I understand that you are asking this because Pakistani citizenship is not eligible for 24 hours TWOV in certain Chinese airports, but this is not the case with Beijing. In case that your layover is during the night hours, you should book your accommodation in Beijing in advance and have a booking confirmation in printed form to be allowed to exit the airport along with your printed flight ticket for your onward flight from Beijing to Australia.
