About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

FLYING FROM SEOUL > SHANGHAI > VANCOUVER

Hi I'm flying from Seoul Korea on 4th May and leaving Shanghai on the 6th May to fly home to Vancouver. I have a UK British passport and a valid visa for Canada where I live. Do I qualify for the 72 Hour transit visa?
My stay in Shanghai will be around 60 hours. If so do I need to call or email the airline in advance to notify them of this request, or can I do this at check desk at the airport.
Thanks for your help!

You don't need a transit visa for this trip, you can use the 144h twov in Shanghai.
