About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

China air: Domestic to international with 1h20m at Beijing

Travelling with a little toddler via PEK with China Air from Sanya to New Zealand. We have only 1hr and 20mins on the outbound/ return leg. Will this be enough time? If not, what are our options? Is there an airport hotel within the terminal? Would this be covered by the airline if connection is missed? Our inbound transfer was chaotic and just managed to get the flight with minutes to spare.

No, the transfer time is not enough. You need to prepare 2.5 to 3 hours to make this transfer.
Yes, there are hourly lounges at the airport. Generally speaking, there will have enough rooms. Don't worry.
