About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling USA- Beijing- India with 13 hour layover. Do we need Visa to go take a tour? - USA

Traveling from USA - Beijing - India and we hold an US passport. Can we take a layover tour. We have a 13 hour layover. Do we require a visa for the tour?

You definitely qualify for 24 hours free transit, but whether you will be allowed entry permit it depends on discretion of border official. Anyway, I would say that with already booked tour that you will present at the relevant airport counter, your chances are practically granted.
