About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Two Stopovers in China. I am a US citizen.

I'd be flying from Bangkok to Los Angeles with two layovers in China--one in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and the other in Beijing Capital International Airport (both on the same day as I leave Bangkok). Am I right to assume no visa is required for this and I'd be fine?

If your transit time is under 24 hours then you'r ecovered by the 24h twov and you don't need a visa.
If it's over 24h you need a visa in advance.
