About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa-Free Transit with two air tickets separately

Hello,
we are flying from Zurich to Shanghai with Swiss air, staying two days in Shanghai and then leaving to Osaka with Peach airlines.
We hold two different tickets,one from Zurich to Shanghai and one from Shanghai to Osaka.
Could we benefit from the free transit?

Of course. You are perfectly within the legal frame of 72 hours visa free travel. Traveling on separate tickets is permitted and has no any negative effect.
