About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Reclaim baggage with Air China at Beijing Capital Airport

Dear,

I have a international to domestic flight transfer. I already have my ticket, but they told me to get my baggage and change it to a different rolling band... It is checked in to it's end destination.
I have personally never heard from this concept and was wondering where I would have to do this procedure. I figure I would go to baggage claim, get my baggage? but then I dont know where to drop it off seen I dont have to recheck in. do I go to the domestic transfers??

After arriving in PEK, you will need to clear customs and then proceed to baggage claim afterwards. However, since baggage claim is still in the secured area of the airport, you simply pick up you luggage and place the luggage on the conveyor belts that will transfer your bags to the correct terminal for your domestic leg of your trip (you need to check what your connecting airline is based out of [i.e., T3-C or T3-D] and place your bags on the correct belt. You are then free to travel to the correct terminal and pass through security again.
