do i need to reclaim the baggage and recheck if i fly china eastern from lax to cambodia

i plan to go to cambodia from los angeles , both legs with china eastern and have a 2hrs layover at pvg, i heard a lot of conflict procedure regarding claiming luggage and recheck when arriving at pvg, my question is do i need to reclaim and recheck it if i fly china eastern ?
