Cruise from Sydney to Shanghai & Flight Back

Looking at a Sapphire Princess Cruise in May 2021 from Sydney to Shanghai. We would like to stay in a Shanghai hotel in or near the Bund on the night we disembark plus the following night and then fly home the next day / night which should be well within seventy two hours. Is this permitted without a visa.

If your trip would be Sydney to Shanghai to another country or region instead of Australia, you can get the 144h twov. Otherwise, you are supposed to apply for a visa.
