free of charge to enter Forbidden City as deaf?

I'm Deaf and I have a Disability ID. My friends say that if I show the staff at the forbidden City I will be able to get in without a ticket. Is this true?

My children are Deaf, but they do not have ID cards. Do I buy adult tickets for them?
