About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

London - Beijing - Tianjin - Kuala Lumpur - London

Do I qualify for this 144 days free visa

Option 1
London - Beijing - Tianjin - Kuala Lumpur - London
Arriving 30/7 at 3 pm
Leaving 4/7

Option 2
London - Beijing - Kuala Lumpur - London
Arriving 30/7 at 3 pm
Leaving 4/7

No. I will not be flying through Shanghai.

So it’s under 144 hours ( without need of visa) if I take option 2. Land in Beijing and leave from Beijing too. Thanks.

Beijing and Tianjin are part of the same transit zone, you can arrive in one and depart the other during the 144 hour transit
I'm assuming its just coincidence that you posted on the SH page and that you will not be flying through the SH area airports, as that would not be allowed on a Beijing/Tianjin transit.
