Can I use 72hr visa when arriving Beijing and 48hrs later leave Tianjin on cruise ship?

I am UK citizen. I arrive in BJ on morning of 6 October 2019. I then leave on a cruise ship from Tianjin on 7 October. Can I use a 72 hr visa

No, the 72hr visa only apply for one stop in mainland China.
But if your departure and destination are different region or country, you are eligible for 144 hours visa free policy.
