Cruise disembarkation Shanghai

We are flying from London Heathrow to Singapore, 4 days in Singapore, then cruising from Singapore to Vietnam and Hong Kong before disembarking in Shanghai. Have three nights hotel accommodation in Shanghai before flying back to Heathrow Do we qualify for the 72 hours transit free or will we need to obtain a full visa.

You do not need a visa if a) Shanghai is your only port of call in Mainland China and b) your PVG-LHR flight will not stop elsewhere in Mainland China or in HK.
