About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

What if our cruise ship is delayed leaving Shanghai?

We are arriving in SH by plane and leaving after 138 hours by cruise ship. The ship is due to depart at 4pm, but what happens if it is delayed because of weather and for some reason doesn't leave until after midnight or even later, thus taking us over our 144 hours.

Well, generally speaking, it will be ok if the stopover is within 144 hours. If it is delayed and over 144 hours, it may influence the next time your apply for visa and you may pay a fine.
