Passport validity for visa free transit.

I will be flying from UK to Philippines, changing planes in Guangzhou, then returning the same way. On the return journey my passport will have just under 6 months remaining. Is this a problem in Guangzhou? I will not need to apply for a visa because I will be in there less than 24 hours so am hoping it will be ok. Please help!

If you passport has more than 3 months validity, you would be fine.
