newark usa to beijing airport to mongolia

Hello, I'm traveling from Newark to Beijing and then transfer flight to mongolia. What would be the process at terminal 3? Do I need to go downstairs to depart?

For the international to international transfer, the procedures are the following:Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Border Inspection - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Waiting & BoardingIn addition,  you can easily find the correct direction based on the detailed English signs at the airport.
