About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is it possible to get a visa for travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen?

We are visiting family in Hong Kong and would like to visit Shenzhen for a day.

You can get a VOA at the border but it's the same price as a 10 years visa (if you travel on a US passport).
